Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 July 2026.

Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 July 2026.
Amendment of rule 7
In the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) Rules (R 15), in rule 7 —
in paragraph (2), replace “Every” with “Subject to paragraph (2A), every”; and
after paragraph (2), insert —“(2A) Paragraph (2) does not apply to a seat with integral seat belt anchorages in a motor vehicle that is registered on or after 1 July 2026.”.
