Regulation 28
No vehicle to be driven, parked or ridden on footway of road
Subregulation 1
No vehicle, unless and to the extent excepted under paragraph (2) or (3), shall be driven, parked or ridden on the footway of a road.
Subregulation 2
Paragraph (1) shall not prevent any police officer in uniform from performing or discharging police duties.
Subregulation 3
Paragraph (1) does not prevent the driving or riding of any of the following on the footway of a road: (a)a bicycle; (b)a power‑assisted bicycle;
a personal mobility device (including a recumbent device and a three-wheeled pedal cycle); (d)a mobility scooter (within the meaning given by the Active Mobility Act 2017 (Act 3 of 2017));
a wheelchair (within the meaning given by the Active Mobility Act 2017), whether motorised or otherwise; (f)a pram, stroller or trolley, inline skates or roller‑skates;
a wheeled toy (within the meaning given by the Active Mobility Act 2017).
