Regulation 3

Charges for release of vehicle

Subregulation 1

Subject to paragraph (2), any vehicle to which an immobilisation device has been fixed pursuant to section 123(1)(iii) of the Act shall not be released until there is paid to the Deputy Commissioner of Police a charge of $200.

Subregulation 2

Where a vehicle to which an immobilisation device has been fixed pursuant to section 123(1)(iii) of the Act is subsequently removed to a place of detention pursuant to section 123(6) of the Act, the vehicle shall not be released until there is paid to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, in addition to the charge referred to in paragraph (1) —

(a)

the appropriate removal charge at the rates specified in the second column of the Schedule; and

(b)

the appropriate storage charge at the rates specified in the third column of that Schedule for each period of 24 hours or part thereof during which the vehicle is detained, such period to be reckoned from noon of the day after the day on which the vehicle was removed.
