These Regulations are the Securities and Futures (Prescribed Sponsored Depositary Receipts under Section 239AA) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 29 June 2026.

reg 2Prescribed sponsored depositary receipts

For the purposes of the definition of “sponsored depositary receipt” in section 239AA(1) of the Act, any American Depositary Receipt (called in these Regulations an ADR) issued pursuant to a sponsored ADR programme is prescribed as a sponsored depositary receipt.
