Regulation 9

Obstructions

Subregulation 1

No person shall obstruct or cause or permit the obstruction of the lawful use of any area in Sentosa or the other islands with any object, fixture or thing.

Subregulation 2

The Corporation may remove and detain any object, fixture or thing that is obstructing the lawful use of any area in Sentosa or the other islands, or require the owner or person having lawful possession of the object, fixture or thing to remove it at his expense.

Subregulation 3

Where the Corporation removes and detains any object, fixture or thing that is obstructing the lawful use of any area in Sentosa or the other islands, the Corporation shall give written notice to the owner, or person who had lawful possession of the object, fixture or thing when it was removed and detained, that he may, on payment of the expenses incurred by the Corporation, claim possession from the Corporation within 30 days of such removal and detention.

Subregulation 4

If the object, fixture or thing removed and detained by the Corporation is not claimed within 30 days of such removal and detention by the owner or person who had lawful possession of the object, fixture or thing when it was removed and detained, the Corporation may sell by public auction or otherwise dispose of the object, fixture or thing, and the proceeds of the sale or disposal shall be applied firstly to the expenses incurred by the Corporation in the removal and detention, and sale or disposal, and the surplus, if any, shall be paid to such owner or person.
