Subregulation 1
Upon the Secretary receiving a notice of appeal, the Secretary must do all of the following no later than 7 working days after the day of that receipt:
assign a number to the notice of appeal and enter it in a list;
inform the appellant of the number assigned under sub‑paragraph (a).
Subregulation 2
After assigning a number to the notice of appeal, the Secretary must, as soon as practicable, forward to the Minister —
a copy of the notice of appeal;
a copy of the appealable decision; and
a copy of each document mentioned in rule 13(1)(e)(ii) accompanying the notice of appeal, unless the appellant requests for confidential treatment of the document or part of the document under rule 28(1).
