Section 107

Independence of subordinate military courts

(1)

In matters of adjudication, presidents and other members of subordinate military courts are not subject to the authority of their commanders, or to any other authority, except the law.

(2)

A person must not attempt to coerce or by any unauthorised means influence the action or proceedings of a subordinate military court or any president or, where applicable, other member thereof.

(3)

A person who contravenes subsection (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction by a subordinate military court to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or any less punishment authorised by this Act.
