Singapore Armed Forces Good Service Medal (Amendment) Rules 2026

These Rules are the Singapore Armed Forces Good Service Medal (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 October 2026.

In the Singapore Armed Forces Good Service Medal Rules 1975 (G.N. No. S 217/1975) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), in rule 2 —

replace paragraph (b) with —“(b)in voluntary service in the Singapore Armed Forces; and”; and

in paragraph (c), replace “as a reservist” with “in operationally ready national service”.

In the principal Rules, in rule 3(2) —

replace sub‑paragraph (b) with —“(b)in the case of national servicemen, the period of full‑time continuous qualifying service they were required under section 12 of the Enlistment Act 1970 to serve, and attendance at 3 High Key Annual In‑Camp Trainings.”; and

delete sub‑paragraph (c).

In the principal Rules, replace the Schedule with —“THE SCHEDULERule 12ObverseReverse”.
