reg 1Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Singapore Armed Forces National Service Medal (Amendment) Rules 2026 and, except for rule 2, come into operation on 1 October 2026.
Rule 2 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

reg 2Amendment of rule 2
In the Singapore Armed Forces National Service Medal Rules 1997 (G.N. No. S 335/1997) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), in rule 2, in the definition of “operationally ready national service”, replace “(Cap. 93)” with “1970”.
reg 3Amendment of rule 4
In the principal Rules, in rule 4(1) and (2)(b), after “operationally ready national service”, insert “or voluntary service in the Singapore Armed Forces (where the voluntary service followed regular service or operationally ready national service)”.
reg 4Amendment of rule 6
In the principal Rules, in rule 6(1)(c), replace “NATIONAL SERVICE” with “National Service”.
reg 5Replacement of Schedule
In the principal Rules, replace the Schedule with —“THE SCHEDULERule 6(7)ObverseReverse”.
