Regulation 35
Case for defence
Subregulation 1
After regulation 34 has been complied with, the witnesses for the defence shall be called to give their evidence.
Subregulation 2
Where the accused elects to give evidence and to call other witnesses as to facts, the accused shall, except in an exceptional case, be called before the other witnesses.
Subregulation 3
Regulations 60, 61 and 62 shall apply to the witnesses and evidence for the defence as they apply to the witnesses and evidence for the prosecution.
Subregulation 4
When the examination of all witnesses for the defence has been completed, the accused shall inform the court that the case for the defence is closed.
