Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Singapore Sports Council Act (Amendment) Act, 1975, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

Short title and commencement
This Act may be cited as the Singapore Sports Council Act (Amendment) Act, 1975, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
Amendment of section 8
Section 8 of the Singapore Sports Council Act, 1973 (hereinafter in this Act referred to as “the principal Act”) is hereby amended —
by inserting immediately after paragraph (h) thereof the following paragraph: —“(i)to establish any clubs for the promotion of sports and to manage and maintain them;”; and
by re-lettering the existing paragraph (i) and (j) thereof as paragraphs (j) and (k) respectively.
Amendment of section 9
Paragraph (g) of section 9 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the expression “to,” appearing in the first line thereof the word “and”.
Amendment of section 23
Subsection (1) of section 23 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the word “facilities” appearing in the last line of paragraph (c) thereof the words “and clubs”.
