Clause 3

Amendment of section 4

Subsection (1) of section 4 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended: —

(a)

by deleting the expression “the Colony after the thirty-first day of October, 1929” appearing at the end of paragraph (a) thereof and substituting therefor the word “Singapore”;

(b)

by deleting the expression “the Colony before on or after the thirty-first day of October, 1929” appearing in paragraphs (b) and (c) thereof and substituting therefor in each case the word “Singapore”;

(c)

by deleting the words “the Colony after the aforesaid date” appearing at the end of paragraph (b) thereof and substituting therefor the word “Singapore”; and

(d)

by deleting the expression “the Colony, and is received in the Colony after the aforesaid date” appearing at the end of paragraph (c) thereof and substituting therefor the expression “Singapore, and is received in Singapore”.
