Powers of Authority in cases of emergency

Section 37
(1)
In cases of emergency, the Authority may direct the immediate execution of any work or the doing of any act being any work or act authorised under this Act which is in the opinion of the Authority necessary for the service or safety of the public.
(2)
The Authority must not act under this section in contravention of any decision of the Minister or against any policy of the Government.
(3)
Where the Authority acts under this section, it must report such action to the Minister at the first opportunity to do so.
