The officer‑in‑charge of a police lock‑up or temporary lock-up shall ensure, upon the death of any lock‑up prisoner of the police lock‑up or temporary lock-up, that immediate notice thereof is given to the Commissioner of Police and the most accessible known relative of the lock‑up prisoner.
