FOURTH SCHEDULERule 9C(3)(b)(ii)Standards for exhaust emission for petrol driven and CNG driven replacement vehicles

1. In this Schedule —“Commission Regulation (EU) No. 459/2012” means Commission Regulation (EU) No. 459/2012 of 29 May 2012, amending Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 692/2008 as regards emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 6);[Deleted by S 880/2018 wef 01/01/2019][Deleted by S 880/2018 wef 01/01/2019]“Commission Regulation (EC) No. 692/2008” means the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 692/2008 of 18 July 2008 implementing and amending Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council on type‑approval of motor vehicles with respect to emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 5 and Euro 6) and on access to vehicle repair and maintenance information;[S 880/2018 wef 01/01/2019]“Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2017/1151” means the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/1151 of 1 June 2017 supplementing Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council on type‑approval of motor vehicles with respect to emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 5 and Euro 6) and on access to vehicle repair and maintenance information, amending Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, Commission Regulation (EC) No. 692/2008 and Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1230/2012 and repealing Commission Regulation (EC) No. 692/2008;[S 880/2018 wef 01/01/2019][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023]“Euro 6 (WLTP) PN limit” means the standard for particle numbers in exhaust emission specified in the column titled “Number of particles (PN)” in Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007, Annex I, Table 2, as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 459/2012 and read with Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2017/1151;[S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023]“Euro 6 (WLTP) standard” means the standard for exhaust emissions in Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007, Annex I, Table 2, as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 459/2012 and read with Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2017/1151;[S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023]“JPN2018” means paragraph 1(3)B of Article 41 of the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Announcement No. 619 dated 15 July 2002 (ANNOUNCEMENT THAT PRESCRIBES DETAILS OF SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR ROAD VEHICLES), as amended by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Announcement No. 528 dated 30 March 2018;[S 880/2018 wef 01/01/2019]“JPN2023” means paragraph 1(3) of Article 41 of the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Announcement No. 619 dated 15 July 2002 (ANNOUNCEMENT THAT PRESCRIBES DETAILS OF SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR ROAD VEHICLES), as amended by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Announcement No. 1040 dated 7 October 2022;[S 933/2023 wef 01/01/2024][Deleted by S 168/2023 wef 01/04/2023]“Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007” means Regulation (EC) No. 715/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2007 on type-approval of motor vehicles with respect to emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 5 and Euro 6) and on access to vehicle repair and maintenance information.[S 421/2017 wef 01/08/2017]
