Definitions
In this Order —“cycling event” means an event that involves the participants of the event riding one or more bicycles on a pre‑determined route which includes a road;“event organiser”, in relation to a cycling event, means any person granted a permit mentioned in section 143(1) of the Act authorising the person to use a specified road for conducting the cycling event;“official”, in relation to a cycling event, means an individual employed or engaged by the event organiser to officiate the cycling event;“specified motor cycle”, in relation to a cycling event, means any motor cycle conveying any individual engaged by the event organiser for the purposes of providing photography or videography services;“specified road”, in relation to a cycling event, means any road or part of a road that is closed to traffic under a police order made under section 143(2) of the Act, in connection with the cycling event.
