Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Helmet Exemption) Order 2005 and shall come into operation on 27th June 2005.

Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Helmet Exemption) Order 2005 and shall come into operation on 27th June 2005.
Exemption
Section 74(1) of the Act and rule 14 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Road Conduct) Rules (R 3) shall not apply to any male Sikh wearing a turban when driving or being carried on a motor cycle, and when riding or being carried on a bicycle, three‑wheeled pedal cycle, recumbent device or a power‑assisted bicycle on a road, respectively.
In this Order, “recumbent device” and “three‑wheeled pedal cycle” have the meanings given by rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Construction and Use) Rules 2024 (G.N. No. S 157/2024).
