Regulation 36
Assessment and recovery of costs
Subregulation 1
Costs shall be assessed by the Registrar upon the order by which the costs are payable in the same manner as costs are assessed in the General Division of the High Court, but subject to such express directions, either general or specific, as the Judge may give; and costs when assessed may be recovered in the same manner as the costs of an action at law.
Subregulation 2
The Judge may direct that the whole or any part of any moneys deposited by way of security under these Rules may be applied in the payment of assessed costs.
Subregulation 3
Order 25 of the Rules of Court 2021 (G.N. No. S 914/2021) shall apply to an application under section 71 and proceedings under these Rules relating thereto as if the application were an originating process.
