Definitions
In this Notification —“Convention country” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 2008;“relevant offence” has the meaning given by section 11(9) of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 2008.
“Convention country” has the meaning given by section 2 of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 2008;
“relevant offence” has the meaning given by section 11(9) of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 2008.
Application of Extradition Act 1968 to Convention countries
For the purposes of section 40(1) of the Extradition Act 1968 and section 11(6) of the Internationally Protected Persons Act 2008, the Extradition Act 1968 (except for Parts 5 and 6) applies in relation to any Convention country specified in the Schedule in respect of any person accused of or convicted of a relevant offence of that country.
Cancellation
The Extradition (Convention on Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Internationally Protected Persons) Notification 2010 (G.N. No. S 689/2010) is cancelled.
