Citation and commencement
This Notification may be cited as the Martial Arts Instruction (Exemption) Notification 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1998.

Citation and commencement
This Notification may be cited as the Martial Arts Instruction (Exemption) Notification 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1998.
Exemption
A trainee who —
receives instruction in any form of martial art as part of a course, or other activity, organised or conducted by any martial art association registered under section 4 of the Act;
is not a member of an unlawful society within the meaning of the Societies Act (Cap. 311); and
has not been convicted of any offence that is registrable under the Registration of Criminals Act (Cap. 268),is exempted from registration as a trainee under section 22 of the Act.
