Citation and commencement
These Rules may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Composition of Offences) Rules 2012 and shall come into operation on 15th October 2012.

Citation and commencement
These Rules may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Composition of Offences) Rules 2012 and shall come into operation on 15th October 2012.
Compoundable offences
The following offences may be compounded by the Minister or any officer authorised by the Minister in accordance with section 42 of the Act:
any offence (other than a continuing offence) under section 8(2), 17(1) or (2), 18(3), 21(9), 24(5), 25(4), 26(5), 28(2) or 33(1) or (3) of the Act;
any offence under section 35 of the Act in connection with any failure to comply with section 3(4), 5(2), 6, 9(1) or (2) or 10(1), (2), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (10), (11), (12), (13) or (14) of the Act;
any offence under section 35 of the Act in connection with any failure to comply with section 23(1) of the Act in respect of the importation for sale or distribution of any offshore newspaper in Singapore.
