Regulation 12

Meetings of sub‑committee

Subregulation 1

A sub-committee may meet as often as required, but must meet at least once every 3 months.

Subregulation 2

A member of a sub‑committee who is in any way, directly or indirectly, interested in any business being transacted at a meeting of the sub‑committee must disclose the nature of his or her interest in writing to the chairperson of the sub‑committee at the first opportunity after the relevant facts have come to the member’s knowledge, which disclosure must be recorded and the member must not take part in the decision with respect to that transaction.

Subregulation 3

The quorum at every meeting of a sub‑committee is 3 members of the sub‑committee.

Subregulation 4

A sub-committee must not transact any business at a meeting unless a quorum is present.

Subregulation 5

Every question coming before or arising at any meeting of a sub‑committee must be decided by a majority of the members of the sub‑committee present and voting at the meeting and, in the case of equality of votes, the chairperson of the sub‑committee has the casting vote.

Subregulation 6

A sub‑committee is not precluded from holding a meeting or acting in any manner merely by reason of any vacancy in its membership.
