Definitions

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —“appointed date” means the date on which Part IV of the Act1 comes into operation;1 Part IV of the Act came into operation on 1st October 2002 vide S 454/2002.“FTA” means the Futures Trading Act (Cap. 116, 1996 Ed.) in force immediately before the appointed date;“representative’s licence” means a representative’s licence granted under section 87 of the Act;“SIA” means the Securities Industry Act (Cap. 289, 1985 Ed.) in force immediately before the appointed date.
