Regulation 6
Offences
Any person who contravenes regulation 3(2), 4(1) or 5(1)(a) shall be guilty of an offence and shall —
(a)
where the offence relates to any First Schedule (Part 1) biological agent, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both; and
(b)
where the offence relates to any biological agent (other than a First Schedule (Part 1) biological agent) or Fifth Schedule toxin, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $100,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to both.
