Regulation 2
Exemption from keeping proper records and screening secondhand goods
Section 10 of the Act and rules 7, 8 and 10 of the Secondhand Goods Dealers Rules (R 1) do not apply to a secondhand goods dealer if —
(a)
in respect of any secondhand goods purchased by the dealer, it falls within the description of item 8 of the Schedule to the Act and is purchased at a transaction price of less than $1,000; or
(b)
in respect of any secondhand goods sold by the dealer, it falls within the description of item 8 of the Schedule to the Act and is sold at a transaction price of less than $1,000.
