Duty to notify accidents

If in any case owing to the presence of a lightweight transport machine in a passenger terminal building an accident occurs in which damage or injury is caused to any person, vehicle, structure or animal, the driver of the lightweight transport machine must —

(a)

stop the machine; and

(b)

report the accident to a person on duty at the Terminal Management Centre as soon as is reasonably practicable and, in any case, not later than 24 hours after the occurrence of the accident.

The employer of the driver of the lightweight transport machine involved in the accident shall ensure that the accident is reported to a person on duty at the Terminal Management Centre.
