Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) (Definition of Seafarer) Order 2014 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2014.

The categories of persons set out in the Schedule are hereby declared not to be regarded as seafarers for the purpose of the definition of “seafarer” in the Act.
