Instructions for collection of specimens
Where, at the time a requestor or patient engages the services of a clinical laboratory licensee, the requestor or patient (as the case may be) does not request the assistance of the clinical laboratory service licensee in the collection of a specimen that is to be tested by the licensee, the licensee must provide the requestor or patient (as the case may be) with —
(a)
instructions on how and when the specimen is to be collected, packed and labelled; and
(b)
precautions to be taken to avoid contamination of the specimen.
