Regulation 21
Tests must be accurate
Subregulation 1
A clinical laboratory service licensee must ensure that every test carried out in the provision of the clinical laboratory service is accurate.
Subregulation 2
Without limiting paragraph (1), a licensee must ensure that where —
(a)
a test result for a patient deviates substantially from those earlier reported in respect of the patient; or
(b)
there is reason to suspect that it is inaccurate given the patient’s clinical presentation,the licensee must investigate the reason for the deviation or the suspected inaccuracy and take appropriate remedial action if applicable.
