Regulation 2

Definitions

In these Regulations —“specified person” means —

(a)

the victim or the victim’s litigation representative; or

(b)

if the victim lacks capacity (within the meaning of the Mental Capacity Act 2008) to commence any contemplated or intended proceedings in court —

(i)

a deputy appointed or deemed to be appointed for the victim under that Act; or

(ii)

a donee under a lasting power of attorney granted, by the victim, under that Act;“victim” means a person mentioned in section 22(1) of the Act for whom the application under section 53(1) of the Act is made.

Definition
