16. Application of Societies Act 1966 to Students’ Union

Despite anything to the contrary in the Societies Act 1966, the provisions of that Act apply to the Temasek Polytechnic Students’ Union and its constituent bodies constituted by the regulations.
Polytechnic

“Polytechnic” means the Temasek Polytechnic established and incorporated under this Act;

The Minister charged with the responsibility for societies may, by order in the Gazette, exempt the Temasek Polytechnic Students’ Union and any of its constituent bodies from all or any of the provisions of the Societies Act 1966 subject to any conditions specified in the order.[20
