19. Appointment of authorised officers
Feedback & supportThe Chief Executive may appoint any officer or any person to be an authorised officer for the purposes of this Act.
Chief Executive
“Chief Executive” means the person appointed under section 15 of the Health Sciences Authority Act 2001 to be the Chief Executive of the Authority;
In the exercise of his or her powers and in carrying out his or her duties under this Act, an authorised officer must comply with such general or special directions as may be given to the authorised officer by the Chief Executive.
Every authorised officer is deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code 1871.
