This Act may be cited as the Trade Unions (Amendment) Act, 1972 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

Amendment of section 47

Section 47 of the Trade Unions Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the words “in extent” appearing in the fourth line thereof the expression “(unless the Minister in any particular case approves the purchase or taking upon lease of land that exceeds one acre in extent)”.
