Regulation 7

Meaning of “immediately reportable matter”

Subregulation 1

For the purposes of section 12(1) of the Act, a marine occurrence is an immediately reportable matter if it is a marine casualty —

(a)

that is a very serious marine casualty; and

(b)

that either —

(i)

occurs in the territory of Singapore; or

(ii)

involves a Singapore ship.

Subregulation 2

In paragraph (1), a “very serious marine casualty” means a marine casualty —

(a)

that results in the total loss of a ship; (b)that results in severe damage to the environment; or

(c)

where an individual suffers a fatal ship‑related injury directly.
