37. Intentional falsehoods for procuring marriage

Any person who for the purpose of procuring any marriage under this Act intentionally makes any false declaration or intentionally provides any false information or document required by this Act shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $3,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years or to both.
