25D. Power of Commissioner to conduct hearing

The Commissioner may, after a claim for compensation has been made under section 11 —

“Commissioner” means the Commissioner for Labour appointed under section 3 of the Employment Act;
(a)
conduct a hearing of the case and hand down a decision accordingly; and
(b)
make any order for the payment of compensation as he thinks just at or after the hearing.
