Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Mobility Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 June 2026.

Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Mobility Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S354 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Mobility Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 June 2026.
Amendment of regulation 2
In the Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Mobility Vehicles) Regulations 2026 (G.N. No. S 280/2026) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 2 —
replace the definition of “approved oversized mobility vehicle” with —“ “approved oversized or overweight mobility vehicle” means a mobility vehicle that —
exceeds —
an unladen weight of 150 kilograms;
a height of 1,500 millimetres;
a length of 1,200 millimetres; or
a width of 700 millimetres; but(b)is of a make and model approved by the Authority and published on the Authority’s website at https://go.gov.sg/amrulesforretailers;”;
after the definition of “gain”, insert —“ “height”, “length” or “width”, for a mobility vehicle, means the height, length or width (as the case may be) of the mobility vehicle —
including the body and all equipment and accessories (if any) attached to the mobility vehicle; but(b)excluding any person or carry‑on baggage on the mobility vehicle;”;
delete the definition of “length” or “width”;
in the definition of “unique registration code”, replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and
after the definition of “unique registration code”, insert —“ “unladen weight”, for a mobility vehicle, means the weight of the mobility vehicle —
including the body and all equipment and accessories (if any) attached to the mobility vehicle; but(b)excluding any person or carry‑on baggage on the mobility vehicle.”.
Amendment of regulation 4
In the principal Regulations, in regulation 4 —
renumber the regulation as paragraph (1) of that regulation;
in paragraph (1)(a), replace sub‑paragraph (iv) with —“(iv)if the registrable mobility vehicle is an approved oversized or overweight mobility vehicle and sub‑paragraph (iii)(B) applies to the individual —
has been granted a valid certificate from a specified assessor certifying that the individual has a medical need to drive or ride that mobility vehicle;
has, before 27 February 2026, received a subsidy under the Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund for the purchase of that mobility vehicle; or
has, whether before, on or after 1 June 2026, received a subsidy under the Assistive Technology Fund for the purchase of that mobility vehicle; or”;
in paragraph (1)(b), replace sub‑paragraph (iii) with —“(iii)if the registrable mobility vehicle is an approved oversized or overweight mobility vehicle —
is on the approved list of Eligible Entities (Retail — Approved Oversized or Overweight Mobility Vehicles) published on the Authority’s website at https://go.gov.sg/amrulesforretailers; or
is on the approved list of Eligible Entities (Non‑retail — Approved Oversized or Overweight Mobility Vehicles) published on the Authority’s website at https://go.gov.sg/pmarules.”; and
after paragraph (1), insert —“(2) In this regulation —“AIC” means the company incorporated under the Companies Act 1967 as Agency for Integrated Care Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200915135W);“Assistive Technology Fund” means the fund of that name administered by SG Enable to provide subsidies for persons with disabilities to purchase assistive technology devices to enable independent living;“Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund” means the fund of that name administered by AIC to provide subsidies for, among other things, devices that support seniors with moving around;“SG Enable” means the company incorporated under the Companies Act 1967 as SG Enable Ltd. (UEN 200822425N).”.
Miscellaneous amendments
In the principal Regulations, in the following provisions, after “oversized” wherever it appears, insert “or overweight”: Regulation 5(1)(d)(ii) and (2)(c)(ii) Regulation 7(a) Regulation 12(1)(a).
