Regulation 7
Determining application to register registrable PMD
The Authority may refuse an application for registration of a registrable PMD if —
the PMD is a non-compliant personal mobility device;
(aa)there is no certification of inspection issued under section 35C(1) of the Act relating to the registrable personal mobility device, or the last such certification issued in relation to that registrable personal mobility device is not in force;
the Authority reasonably believes that —
the PMD or a part of the PMD is or may be stolen;
information given in the application for registration is false or misleading; (iii)the PMD is being or is about to be used for an unlawful purpose;
the PMD is already registered; or
more than one application has been made to the Authority for registration of the same PMD;
the Authority has sought further information or supporting evidence in relation to the registration and the information or evidence has not been given to the Authority; or
the Authority is not satisfied that the person to be registered as a responsible person for the PMD, if an individual, has attained the requisite minimum age.
