104. Refusal to register marriage or revocation of divorce

Every Kadi or Naib Kadi who refuses to register a marriage and every Kadi who refuses to register a revocation of divorce must record his reasons for such refusal in a book to be kept for that purpose.
(2)
The Kadi or Naib Kadi must forthwith inform the Registrar and all other Kadis and Naib Kadis in Singapore in the prescribed form of his decision.

“Naib Kadi” means a Naib or an Assistant Kadi appointed under section 91;

Upon payment of the prescribed fee, the Kadi or Naib Kadi must give a copy of his reasons for refusal to the applicant for registration.
