46B. Divorce by husband’s pronouncement

(1)
A married man may apply to the Court for a divorce in accordance with the Muslim law.

“court” means a court of competent jurisdiction, other than the Syariah Court;
(2)
Upon receiving an application under subsection (1), the Court must cause a summons to be served on the wife concerned.
(3)
If the man pronounces a divorce, and the Court is satisfied that the divorce is valid in accordance with the Muslim law, the Court must cause the divorce to be registered.
