Part VIA of the Act shall not apply to or in respect of —

(a)

any consignment of not more than 50 kg of sand or granite imported for the sole purpose of scientific evaluation or of commercial evaluation as a trade sample; and

(b)

the importer of any consignment referred to in sub-paragraph (a).
