4. Directions for breach of conditions of use

(1)

This regulation applies if —

(a)

a bus passenger fails to comply with any condition of use; or

(b)

where a bus passenger is boarding, or about to board, a public bus — the bus passenger is likely to fail to comply with a condition of use if allowed to board the public bus.

(2)

An authorised person may —

(a)

refuse the bus passenger entry to the public bus; or

(b)

direct the bus passenger to leave the public bus.

(3)

A person who fails to comply with any direction of an authorised person given under paragraph (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

Subregulation 1

This regulation applies if —

(a)

a bus passenger fails to comply with any condition of use; or

(b)

where a bus passenger is boarding, or about to board, a public bus — the bus passenger is likely to fail to comply with a condition of use if allowed to board the public bus.

Subregulation 2

An authorised person may —

(a)

refuse the bus passenger entry to the public bus; or

(b)

direct the bus passenger to leave the public bus.

Subregulation 3

A person who fails to comply with any direction of an authorised person given under paragraph (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.
