Regulation 13B
MIC@Home treatment on or after 1 April 2024
Subregulation 1
A member may withdraw moneys from the member’s medisave account for the payment of MIC@Home treatment (except any MIC@Home treatment received as part of qualifying combined treatment) received by the member or the member’s dependant, on or after 1 April 2024.
Subregulation 2
Subject to regulation 4, the total amount that a member may withdraw under paragraph (1) for payment of each episode of MIC@Home treatment received must not exceed the lowest of the following amounts:
the aggregate amount computed in accordance with paragraph (3) for the episode of MIC@Home treatment;
the total expenditure for the MIC@Home treatment;
the total credit balance in the member’s medisave account.
Subregulation 3
For the purposes of paragraph (2)(a), the aggregate amount is —
if the episode of MIC@Home treatment started on or after 1 April 2024 but before 1 April 2025 —
$550 for each of the first 2 days of the episode; and
$400 for each of the third and subsequent days of the episode; and
if the episode of MIC@Home treatment started on or after 1 April 2025 —
$1,130 for each of the first 2 days of the episode; and
$400 for each of the third and subsequent days of the episode.
Subregulation 4
This regulation does not apply if the episode of MIC@Home treatment started before 1 April 2024, even if that MIC@Home treatment continues on or after that date.
Subregulation 5
For the purposes of this regulation, the start and end of an episode of MIC@Home treatment is determined by the approved MIC@Home treatment provider based on the advice of an approved medical practitioner of that approved MIC@Home treatment provider.
Subregulation 6
To avoid doubt, regulation 13 does not apply to MIC@Home treatment.
