5. Charity Council

There is established a Charity Council consisting of a Chairperson and such other members as the Minister may appoint.

“charity” means any institution, corporate or not, which is established for charitable purposes and is subject to the control of the General Division of the High Court in exercise of the jurisdiction of the General Division of the High Court with respect to charities;

The Chairperson and other members of the Council are appointed for the duration and on the terms and conditions that the Minister may determine.[4A
