12. Registers

The Director shall cause to be kept and maintained a register of all licensed child care centres.

“Director” means the Director of Social Welfare appointed under section 3(1) of the Children and Young Persons Act and includes any person who is authorised by him to perform any of the duties or exercise any of the powers of the Director under this Act or any regulations made thereunder;

The Director may require every licensee to keep and maintain such register of children and staff as the Director considers necessary for carrying out the purposes of this Act.
