Section 11

Penalty for contravention of section 10

Any person who —

(a)

employs or procures a child or young person to perform or take part in any public entertainment;

(b)

having the custody, charge or care of a child or young person, suffers the child or young person to perform or take part in such entertainment; or

(c)

being a person licensed under the Public Entertainments Act [Cap. 257] suffers a child or young person to take part in such entertainment,in contravention of section 10, or of any rule made under this Part or any condition or restriction contained in any licence issued under section 10, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $500 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both, and the court shall thereupon cancel the licence issued in respect of that child and, if the person convicted is the holder of a licence under the Public Entertainments Act, the court may also order the cancellation of the licence or its suspension for such period as the court may think fit.
