Subject to section 103 —
(a)
a person must not be detained in a place of detention after he or she has attained 18 years of age;
(b)
a person must not be detained in a juvenile rehabilitation centre after he or she has attained 19 years of age; and
(c)
a person must not be detained in a place of safety after he or she has attained 21 years of age.[47
