56. Quorum at general meeting

Feedback & support
(1)

No business may be transacted at any general meeting unless a quorum of members or delegates is present. The quorum necessary for such transaction is 20% or 30 of all members or delegates qualified to vote, whichever is the less.

(2)

If a quorum is not present within 30 minutes after the time fixed for a general meeting, the members or delegates present form a quorum, except that —

(a)

a general meeting with such reduced quorum does not have the power to amend the by-laws; and

(b)

any resolution passed at the meeting is not valid unless it is passed with a majority of two-thirds of the members or delegates present.
