Clause 19

Section 136 of the Companies Act is amended by deleting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:“(2) The memorandum shall be endorsed with a statement by the chargee of the payment, satisfaction, release or ceasing referred to in subsection (1), as the case may be, and that statement shall constitute sufficient evidence of that payment, satisfaction, release or ceasing.”.
