Section 179

A member shall have, in the performance of his duty as a member, the same protection and immunity as a Judge of the High Court.

A person summoned to appear before the Tribunal as a witness shall have the same protection, and shall, in addition to the penalties provided by this Act, be subject to the same liabilities, in any civil or criminal proceedings as a witness in proceedings in the High Court.[Aust. 1968, s. 171]
